An optical theatre of dichroic glass — a four-sided curtain wall of colour-shifting coated panels set in the TG Qingdao garden.
The showroom sits in the admin-zone garden of the Taiwan Glass Qingdao factory complex — preserved trees, bamboo, lawns and gravel paths, a green pause between production and office buildings. On all four sides a dichroic curtain wall shifts between reflected blue-indigo and transmitted yellow-orange. The colour is optical interference from nanometre metal-oxide coatings, not pigment; it moves with sun angle, interior contrast and viewpoint.
Stone platforms extend from the east and west. The west terrace is the larger of the two and folds an existing mature tree into its paving for shade and a clear link to the garden. Bamboo and foliage throw moving shadows across the glass.
Inside, a short sequence of foyer, briefing, core display and side wings keeps curation flexible. Wood-grain floors, oak veneer and oak furniture hold the samples — tabletop pieces, wall mounts and freestanding stands — while the transparent volume keeps the exhibition tied to the green setting.
The current display centres on high-end automotive coated glass: electrochromic anti-glare, double- and triple-silver coatings, HUD and DMS glass, ITO panoramic sunroofs and IR high-transmission layers, backed by more than ninety national patents. The pavilion is both a materials room and a brand and R&D narrative for Taiwan Glass.
